What is a Psi-Vampire?

A Psi-Vampire is much like a "Blood," (or "Sanguinous,") Vampire in that it needs to consume some form of sustanence other than just food in order to survive, or at least survive healthily.This does not mean that a Vampire cannot, or does not need to consume normal food. Think of the blood or energy a vampire takes from you, like a form of one a day vitamine.
Psi-Vampires Differ form Blood Vampires in that the thing they need is not blood but "Psychic" or "pranic energy". (You can find an infinite number of words to describe this Energy, like life force etc, The more people you ask the more answers you'll get. I tend to think that no one answer is right or wrong in most cases.)
I like to envision this energy like someone would imagine "The Force" to be like in "star wars", or even more accurately like "Chi". It is a life essance that surrounds and is inside all things in the universe. It helps to determine it's existance, and it can also be defined as the astral link to all things. (Have you ever heard the theory that All things in this realm have a counterpart in the astral one? Well this is why...)This energy Moves in and out of, all things, almost like when you breathe. It's flow can be determined by a large number of circumstances, as well respond to stimulus. It can form Ley lines (mystical lines of energy that criss cross the universe, and are like the energy highways of the universe), Vortexes (places which act like Astral/energy black holes, sucking up all the energy that comes to close and rarely giving anything back), Nexus's (places where two or more lines cross and connect, often yealding added power to magickal rights, and spells, or making good feeding grounds for Psi-Vampires and other users of this energy), And last but no least as well as the most controversial and unproven in the supernatural community- Rifts (These rifts are beleived to be caused by Surges in the flow of ley line enrgy, which flows to a nexus, where it tears the Time Space Fabric of the universe, allowing distant places, and sometimes other demensions to be within reach. I will have a future section relating to Ley lines... Keep an eye out for it!)
In almost all cases Psi-Vampires feed almost exclusively form things we consider "Living", or sometimes "Once living". These sources would be (in order of potency)humans, animals and plants, the more sentient, the better. However a few Psi-Vampires can draw upon "Ambient", or "dead" energy from thier surroundings, Such as rocks, air, fire, and water. Note that these are the four basic element of creation (Their are other elements but for the sake of simplicity I will not discuss them here...). When drawing upon Ambient energy the Psi-Vampire need not find a suitable prey for their feeding habits, they can sit relax, and meditate on the element/s for their feeding. However most Psi-Vampires may loath Water to a degree, the ones who find it's energy usefull tend to not have as great a weakness for it.
When a Psi-Vampire feeds it uses the energy of the target/prey in it's own way, usualy taking what it needs to survive and moving on. How/Why do they take/Need this energy? the most basic and easy to learn method of feeding is meditating on your target, feeling it's energy and imagining/feeling that energy come to you for your own use. They feed because unlike almost all other things in nature they cannot, or have difficulty in, creating their own life essance. All things tend to regenerate their life force steadily as time goes on, often a victim of Psi-Vampire attack is back in tip top shape in a day or so. But Psi-Vampires need to find a source for this energy outside of themselves... (Perhaps they are Sentient versions of Energy vortexes?) In any event without this feeding, most Psi-Vampires grow ill, tired or sometimes die of their affliction.
How can you tell if you are one?
Probably the best way to tell if you are one would be by either trying to feed, or abserving yourself closely. If you find you are often tired, or sickly, have problem digesting anyting with Citric acid in it, Hate daylight, and don't like to swim for some reason other than a phobia. You very well could be one.
Another sure fire way to find out is if you are a latent or "Subconsous" Psi-Vampire:
A: Do you feel tired when away from people for long periods of time or feel edgy?
B: Do you feel energetic and aloof when in a large group, or even if just with one person other than yourself?
C: Do others around you tend to feel tired and/or sick often while in your presance? Or become tired quickly after/durring their visit with you?
D: Do you find you do not have to eat, sleep, or even use the bathroom very often no matter how long it's been since you last ate? Slept? Or no matter how much you ate/drank?
If you can answer "yes" to two or more of these questions then I suggest you do some soul searching, because chances are, you just might be one. So what is a latent Psi-Vampire? These are individuals who were either born Psi-Vampires, or where turned without thier knowledge. In both cases the Psi-Vampire is unaware of their gift/curse, and have over time and/or neccesity developed instincts regarding feeding, as well as other Psi-Vampire tallents.
